Martin VanBuren Trefzger was the 10th child (5th son)of Martin and Katherine Trefzger who immigrated in 1852. He was born on December 19, 1864.
A record of a marriage between Martin and Alice Elizabeth Bressler on August 17, 1884 has been found. They had a daughter Annie Mae Trefzger, born January 2, 1886. She was baptized February 25, 1886 and she died November 25, 1887. We do not know what happened to this marriage.
Martin VB married Mary Jane Davis on November 21, 1896 in Mount Carmel, PA.
They had 11 children.
Martin VB died on June 27, 1931. He was buried by the Zion Lutheran Church in Turbotville, Northumberland, PA.

In the 1910 census Martin and Mary live in Natalie, Northumberland, PA. They have six children: Martha 12, Gertie 10, Earle 9, Mamie 6, Verna 4, and Jenevieve 3/12. Martin is a coal miner. They rent a home.
In the 1920 census they live in Kulpmont, Northumberland, PA. and have 9 Children living with them: Arthur, Earle, Mary, Verna, Genevieve, Allen, Evelyn, adeline and Alina. Martin and Mary did not atend school. Martin's mother tougue is German. Mary's mother tongue is Welsh.
