Arnold Trefzger was the 8th child (4th son) of Martin and Katherine Trefzger who immigrate to the U.S.A. in 1852 with their family. Arnold was their 2nd child born in the United States. He was born on August 6, 1858.
Arnold married Catherine Rooney.
They had 9 children.
Arnold died March 12, 1935.

The 1910 census shows Arnold and Catherine living in Mt. Carmel Ward 3, Northunberland, PA. with the following children: Lewis 20, Steins 19, Thomas 17, Beatrice 15, Alvina 11, Otto 8, Anthony 6, and Theodore 4. They have been married 27 years. Catharine had 10 children, 9 living.
Evidently Ben their first child had already married and moved out.
In 1920 only Otto 19, Tony 17, and Teddy 13 were still at home. Arnold & Catherine can read & write English. Arnold is a miner.
In 1930 Arnold is 72, living with son Anthony. Anthony is 25, wife Helen is 28, son Benjamine is almost 5. The home is rented. Anthony had no schooling, but can read & write. He is a miner, not a veteran.
