Berta is the granddaughter of Johann Trefzger who was killed in a shooting accident on the Trefzger farm in Wehr in 1874. Berta is also the niece of Arnold Trefzger who immigrated in 1892. She is the sister of Fred who immigrated in 1907 and sister of Arnold who immigrated in 1924.
Berta's great aunt and uncles Maria Anna, Anton and Simon immigrated in 1855. Her uncle Arnold immigrated in 1892. Her brother Fred immigrated in 1907, and her brother Arnold in 1924.
Berta arrived in New York and want through Ellis Island in 1921, at age 23.
